Fischer, Nina

Dr. Nina Fischer graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2008 at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Munich. Afterwards she spent one year at the North Carolina State University (Raleigh, USA) with Prof. Dr. Thierry Olivry, researching on the field of Immunology and completed a Research Doctorate on canine autoimmune diseases. After working in a small animal practice, she finished an internship at the Clinic for Small Animal Internal Medicine, Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zurich, Switzerland in 2010. After successful completion of her ECVD-Residency in 2014, she is currently working as senior physician in the Dermatology unit at the Clinic for Small Animal Internal Medicine, Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zurich. Besides her clinical work, she is involved in teaching and research. Her research and habilitation focuses on the immunopathogenesis and treatment options of canine and feline atopic dermatitis, in particular on allergen specific immunotherapy. 
She is member of the scientific committee of the European College of Veterinary Dermatology and board member of the Swiss Association of Veterinary Dermatology.
