Research abstracts, from any study involving experimental animals, will only be accepted if there is bona fide evidence that the study has been ethically approved. In this respect, authors must provide written evidence of approval, e.g. a letter from the ethics or welfare committee of the institution involved, at the time of abstract submission. Simply stating that informed consent was obtained will not be acceptable.
Please submit this at the same time as submitting the abstract. If the required ethic approval is not submitted directly together with the abstract, your abstract will be rejected. In some circumstances, the scientific committee may subsequently ask for ethical approval for abstracts that it deems require it.
